Deep tissue massage therapy is often used as a treatment to break up scar tissue, and break down muscle knots & adhesions. Juliette uses fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms to release tensions in the body, using both slow strokes and deeper finger pressure. Massage techniques are tailored to an individual’s needs, but will include: Neuromuscular techniques – using pressure and friction to release areas of strain in the muscle or soft tissue. Benefits are reducing muscle tension, reducing fatigue, alleviating swelling and promoting flexibility. This is the treatment for you if you are suffering from stiff neck, upper back and shoulder pain, muscle and ligament strain. It is also useful in the treatment of sports related injuries, as it helps to facilitate muscle healing and relaxation, reduce blood pressure, stress hormone levels and overall heart rate.
